Tip: reservation required, specify inside! Fun vibes. Delicious enchiladas and tacos with classic and creative fillings (loved the cauliflower). Perfect taco shells. Wonderful service and excellent drinks. Perfect location if you are going to a show at The Masonic. Take a car service or public transportation because street parking is impossible and paid parking is wildly expensive.
Ordered veggie burrito, 3 tacos and non-alcoholic aqua fresca. -Requested to make veggie burrito wet and was accomodated for extra 4$ but there was barely any sauce specifically the green sauce was negligible. -Tacos were mostly bland. Could have been a little more spicy and flavorful. The filling quantity was extremely less. Just one thin sheet of soft taco corn shell per taco instead of industry standard two. -Quantity of food was very less even for non-starter items -Aqua fresca was super diluted and tasted very basic like plain watermelon juice diluted into ice water. Overall not a great place for food. The food is bland, very less in quantity and expensive so not worth the value. I guess the premium prices are for seemingly nice ambience which I couldn’t care less about. Could be a good place for happy hours though. Had a long happy hour menu with reasonable pricing.
I stopped by late in the evening and only ordered the churros for dessert. The service was great—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The staff made me feel comfortable even though I came in close to closing time, and I have nothing negative to say about the customer service. For the churros, they were a bit disappointing. The texture suggested they may not have been freshly made. Instead of having a crisp outer layer, it was slightly soft and soggy, blending into the inside. Because of that, the texture was the biggest drawback of the dish. However, the sugar coating was well-balanced and not overly sweet, and it paired nicely with the chocolate dipping sauce.
Ended up here at the recommendation of our hotel staff and it did not disappoint. The tacos were amazing! We happened to arrive during an afternoon happy hour with discounted tacos and margaritas that I can’t recommend enough. I got a chorizo, carnitas, and chicken taco and all were fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The margarita was perfect too. If ever in town again, we’ll definitely be back!
Came here for a work team event. Cozy and easy going vibe and the staff were friendly. The cocktails were great with a huge Tequila and Mezcal selection. The food was good but the lacked seasoning/pop that I've come to expect being from Vancouver, BC. I kinda felt like they toned the flavours down for the local audiences style. Perhaps a personal preference and now that I know I'd ask for more kick next time. Otherwise it was great. I would come back.
