Conveyor belt sushi—but with a twist: your order shoots out on a little rocket! I had to check it out, and it was such a fun experience. You seat yourself wherever you like and order everything on an iPad at your table, except for drinks. The service was a bit lukewarm—I sometimes felt like I was inconveniencing the staff when they came by—but honestly, you barely interact with them anyway. It’s mostly just you and the rocket system doing its thing. I ordered miso soup, unagi, toro, and a spicy tuna hand roll. Everything was fresh with high-quality cuts, especially the toro. I also got a Shirley Temple, which came with the most perfect fresh cherry—something a lot of places surprisingly skip. All in all, I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back again, whether solo or with a group.
Thick slices of fish and very fresh no smell or fishy taste in the fish. I clearly over ordered. The food comes in this automatic delivery system.
Walked in on a Friday evening for dinner, was seated right away. Food was delivered on a small rocket ship tram on a track. Very cool. Very nice decor, dishes, music volume was just right. Food was not only delish but had a wonderful presentation. Servers were attentive. Wonderful evening.
Rocket Sushi on Market Street, SF sounds like a gimmick. I mean, rockets? To deliver food? But this is the real deal — super high quality fish and generous portions. Really good stuff here. And it’s hella fun to see those NASA rockets zoom by with orders.
this was from a delivered forkable order from rocket sushi. i am complaining about their tonkatsu. how do you charge like $22 for this tonkatsu when the pork underneath are these sad dry thin slices? i get that this is a sushi place but just don't put tonkatsu on the menu if you can't serve actual good tonkatsu
