Just had a really good bowl at Kin Khao in San Francisco while sitting outside. The presentation was beautiful rich broth, soft-boiled egg with a perfect golden yolk, tender chashu, bamboo shoots, fresh greens, nori, and sesame seeds. Everything tasted clean and well-balanced. The broth had depth without feeling heavy, and the toppings were clearly made with care. Sitting outside made it even better, watching the city go by. Service was friendly and the whole experience felt special without trying too hard. If you’re looking for thoughtful, high-quality food in SF, this place delivers. Already thinking about coming back.
Pretty hot wings were a pleasant surprise. Khao Yum presented an interesting combination of flavors and texture. Green curry rabbit is a venture for me, meat is tender easily separated from bones, meat balls in the curry more taste. Pork belly was very good. All dishes were well prepared. Blueberries cake was a fantastic dessert wrapped up.
Cute, cozy, and flavorful place. The service is professional and warm. The menu has dishes that you will recognize but with a fun and exciting twist, and there are some other dishes that are their personal creations. Everything is well thought out and balanced with textures, temperatures, colors and flavors. The dishes spark your taste buds with umami, bitter, sweet, salty, and sour ingredients. Its a full experience. Their wine list is perfectly curated to dance with the menu and take it to another level.
This restaurant is probably the most authentic Thai restaurant that we have been to in the States. Between the three of us, we got the mushroom hor mok (highly recommend!), charred eggplant salad, yaowaraj noodle, and massaman nuea. All of the dishes were cooked wonderfully, and some of them had flavors we had never experienced before. Although the restaurant was way too loud at times, it was great finally being able to try Kin Khao, and I am glad it had lived up to the hype.
KIN KHAO Dined at KIN KHAO and was thoroughly impressed. The food was exceptional—especially the squid and the pork belly, which were truly outstanding. The balance of flavors and execution were spot on. We also tried the rabbit curry and the Brussels sprouts, both of which were very well done and complemented the meal beautifully. Service was attentive and professional, contributing to an overall excellent dining experience. While the pricing is on the higher side, the quality and creativity justify it. The chef clearly knows what they are doing. Highly recommended.
