I celebrated my birthday at Bourbon Steak, and it was such a wonderful evening. I live out of town, and this wasn’t my first time dining here. Somehow, every time I’m in San Francisco, I find myself drawn back to this place and choosing it again. The food was absolutely delicious, as always, but what made this visit especially memorable was the staff. Everyone was incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming. So many members of the team took the time to wish me a happy birthday, and I was even given a card signed by the entire team. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture, and it truly made me feel celebrated. There is something special about a place you want to return to not only because of the food, but because of the way it makes you feel. Bourbon Steak is that kind of place for me. Thank you for making my birthday so memorable. I’ll be very happy to return the next time I’m in San Francisco)
This was my first time at Bourbon Steak San Francisco, but I have enjoyed Chef Michael Mina’s signature cooking for about 7-8 years now as I would previously go to International Smoke for special occasions. I booked a reservation for dinner to celebrate my Birthday about a week in advance. When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome and happy birthday wishes from all staff I encountered. All staff members who helped us/served us were phenomenal; the moment I sat at our table, I received a card from the entire staff wishing me a happy birthday. Kyung, our Captain Server went above and beyond from the moment we sat down. She went over the dinner menu in detail as well as answered all of our questions and inquiries about specific dishes we were interested in. Throughout the entire dining experience she was warm, friendly, and professional. We received complimentary fries which added to the moment of surprise of the elevated hospitality we received from the moment we walked in! For drinks, my cousin ordered the Hyphey Movement and I ordered the Summer of Love from the signature cocktails section of the beverages menu. We had the Caviar Parfait and the Steak Tartare Pizza for appetizers. For dinner we decided to share a main dish, which we chose the Mediterranean Branzino, and 2 sides, the Stir Fried Asparagus and the Creamed Spinach Pop Tart. For dessert, I was treated to a mini bite sized ice cream cone with ice cream, waffle cone, and sprinkles all made in house! We also ordered the Brulèed Basque Cheesecake, which was recommended, and the Warm Beignets and dipping custards. I know Bourbon Steak is a steakhouse - but Chef Mina has never disappointed and brings amazing, creative flavors and dishes when it comes to fish and across his entire menu. Everything we consumed was SO good, as expected because it is Chef Mina! I want to thank Kyung, Cole W., and the entire staff for making my birthday and first time at Bourbon Steak San Francisco memorable, special, and a high class experience for me and my Cousin. I will be going to Bourbon Steak for future Birthdays, special occasions and beyond!
All staff from start to finish was amazing! Friendly,welcoming and attentive. Not sure about the name of our server but on the receipt it was listed as Andrew, he was so patient and all smiles each time he or the others would check on us. We loved the look, feel and ambiance of the restaurant, very intimate and gorgeous. We loved the green color on the ceilings and the chairs. We were celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary and everyone took care of us, they all greeted and wished us for many more years. We just felt special, it was an amazing decision that we picked this restaurant to spend our night. Food was delicious, it was cooked and presented as good as it looked in the photos! Also great that we picked the hotel to stay at as well. I would highly recommend it to people I know, I hope to come back next time when we visit from San Diego. Applaud to the whole team, I hope you guys keep doing a great job, me and my husband appreciate you guys, thank you.
We have gone twice in a three week period, a birthday and Valentines day. Both times, spectacular!! Delicious food with amazing, spot on service. The booths are so comfortable and while it can get very busy, the noise level is tolerable. Ask for Pete for exceptional service and a shoutout to Ester for excellant customer service!! Love, love, love dining here!
