I've been meaning to try their BBQ since I just found out that they are the makers of the 4505 chicharrones pork rinds (great with pilsner or lager)! Definitely would go again, tried their ribs and hot links. Links weren't too 'hot' but I didn't mind. Enjoyed them! Ribs were soft, smokey and flavorful. My rack did have a little too much fat; but It didn't take away from how good it was. Sides of potato salad and baked beans were excellent; sweet rolls were good also! Next time I'll try their brisket and other offerings! Wish their BBQ sauces weren't so watery....maybe they were diluted? Shrug.
We had a real yen for some BBQ, and decided to try this place out. Nice covered patio eating area, with heaters. It's a good BBQ.... But not a great one. The flavors just didn't wow. And my wife and I both got mile indigestion afterwards. On the plus side, the sweet potato fries were excellent!
This spot is a classic around here! Only outdoor seating (with heat lamps and partial roof covering) - they got drinks and burger stuff. Burgers are super yummy and juicy. They got other small plate options that are yummy but they are small and expensive. Overall this place frequently hits the spot but prob not ideal to come here a ton.
The food is just phenomenal. Juicy, smoky burgers with char and toppings. Fries are crisp and salty perfection. Chill outdoor vibe, quick service, strong drinks. Pricey but worth it when you want a solid burger fix in SF, it's great!
We ordered the beef brisket plate with spicy fries and beans. The beans were the surprise standout—rich and delicious. The fries had a nice kick, but the brisket itself was just okay—chewy and a bit tough, not something I’d rush back for. The outdoor seating with wooden benches is dog-friendly, though it can get noisy with kids running around and dogs barking. I did appreciate the convenience of having a QR code with the table number to order anything extra once seated. On the bright side, the service was friendly and attentive.
