This was the best ramen I have had. The service was great and the food was amazing. Loved the house ramen which was very reasonably priced. Wife loved the Gyoza bento box.
Wonderful ramen experience today at Hinodeya. Never knew that you can put butter to ramen - it made the broth extra rich, then I read that it’s Hokkaido style (makes sense given their cold climate). Our food was perfectly seasoned, rich, flavourful and portions were generous. I’ll definitely come back for more ramen and for trying the rest of the menu (bentos looked really appealing!).
This is the Hinodeya location in the Marina. What's special about it is the olive tree in the center of the back room! It's so pretty. If you want to dine back there, I suggest you make a reservation! The house ramen is good. The vegan ramen with the soy milk base is also good. Everything in the vegan ramen seemed bursting with flavor. If you get the bento or rice, you can get a smaller size of the ramen. Extra toppings such as beef, chashu pork, and poached egg are additionally charged. Service is not attentive. They are so busy, and the dining rooms are spread far apart. I ordered the Beef Don "Gyu-Don"with the Mini Creany Ramen. I also ordered the Iced Matcha for a drink. Everything was so delicious. The food was visually pleasing and just as tasty. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed. The service was good. This is an amazing Ramen Place in San Francisco!
This location is huge with outdoor and indoor seating. The back room opens to a large dining room with plenty of group seating. Sparkling sake was good. There are a lot of peaceful decorations displayed around the restaurant. Good was okay. I thought the ramen noodles had good texture. The zen broth could have more yuzu. The pork katsu cutlet was pretty fatty. The chicken karage varied in size leaving the pieces cooked at varied levels. Overall a good place to come with a group.
