We had a really lovely afternoon at this cool Italian restaurant just a few blocks from the main tourist spots. Service was exceptional from start to finish. We sat at the bar and managed to watch the World Cup while we ate, which was a nice bonus. The Kris Pinot Grigio was delicious and very easy to drink. The lamb cutlets were cooked perfectly to medium-rare with rich gravy and fluffy potatoes. The tagliatelle bolognese was also incredibly delicious. There was live music from a band which added a great atmosphere. We had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place. Thank you for having us, we’d definitely return!
Minutes from the frenzy of Fisherman’s Wharf, this Italian restaurant serves up delicious fare in a quiet and charming atmosphere. Kid-friendly. Pleasant wait staff. As Giants fans would say, it’s a home run.
We ate here as a family. Good Italian food. The bread we got served before dinner was warm and of great taste and quality. This place deserves a recommendation. The photo is of the penne bolognese I ordered.
Ordered the mushroom risotto and added chicken and a side of garlic spinach. Definitely would recommend. They had live music with someone playing piano. He also took requests so that was awesome. My server was awesome and couldn't thank her enough for taking such great care of me.
We would definitely come back. Good food, massive portions, very fair prices. Make a reservation. The pasta dishes seem to be more regional than just Napolentean/Roman what I normally see in American Italian restaurants. The noodles were good even the next day. Get what you like, they were all done well. Hard to tell but very huge basket of calamari. Best for 5 or more people to share! I also liked their free bread and mushroom main, though we got it as an appetizer. Service wasn't slow for us like some reviews mention. Quaint ambiance with some live piano.
