We shared a half Peking Duck between two people, as well as the Beijing Pot Stickers. Both items were delicious, well-presented, and very tasty. In addition, the service was prompt, attentive, and professional. The ambiance in the restaurant is very nice. It's not a large place and it did begin to fill up quickly for lunch, but the noise level was not a problem. The staff was also attentive and accommodating to the gluten-free requirements of one diner, which was very much appreciated. Overall, if you are searching for a high-quality dining experience, then head over to Z & Y Peking Duck in the Chinatown district of San Francisco. It is worth the trip!
Amazing Peking Duck! Reminiscent of the quality experienced in Beijing. Everything was delicious, the sous vide short rib was so tender and flavorful, miso sea bass was perfectly flavored, the honey dew shrimp was delicious and unique, the abalone was tender and full of umami, yummy eggplant in spicy garlic sauce. We loved our meal and service so much that we made a reservation for the rest of our family. We’re coming back😋!
Great Peking duck and signature beef with chilis dish! We got a whole duck for 4 people, they only bring you what the chef slices off (they take the rest of the bird back, sadly) Also they were accommodating with seating us a little earlier than booked on a busy weekend evening, which is always nice. Recommend you call/make a reservation to reserve your crispy duck ahead of time.
The Peking Duck is absolutely delicious. Such a unique dish and tender duck with a crispy skin that is incredible. Don’t miss out on the green beans! Have not had lost of exposure to great Chinese cuisine and this place set an awesome bar. Would definitely recommend! FYI, the portions are HUGE for dishes that aren’t the Peking Duck so come hungry and be prepared to take some home if you order multiple things.
The food was excellent. Short wait to get in even though there was a line. Great vibe, modern decor. It looks like they have a downstairs. We were able to get their Peking Duck and we were able to get more pancakes. Overall, it was a good experience. We definitely would consider coming back. Just note they do charge an automatic 8% to your bill for a San Francisco service fee.
