After hearing so much about the burgers at Nopa, I finally got around to trying the out, and I gotta say I was a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the burgers are solid. But for $30, I would have expected a more flavorful party, or a more interesting sauce... Really anything that would have made the dish more memorable. The fried chicken was also good but not mind blowingly amazing. The service was great though, as was the upscale ambience with its demure hipster vibe.
Nopa didn’t quite live up to expectations. The starters were mostly good and set a promising tone, but the mains were disappointing. The burger lacked flavor and felt rather ordinary, while the pork chop, although one of the better dishes, still didn’t fully convince. The interior of the restaurant is impressive, but the acoustics are poor, making it very loud inside. Fortunately, we were seated outside, which was just ok in terms of comfort. Service was good, but not exceptional. Overall, a somewhat disappointing experience that didn’t meet expectations.
Great food and even better desserts (seriously do not skip the cream brûlée). And decent service (one waiter was not the friendliest or most attentive but after a switch change we got a much better one). Definitely worth a visit.
It was nice to come here to catch up with friends. The food was pretty good, some dishes better than others. The staff is nice. They have a coat/ bag check. The space is airy and inviting. Farm to table restaurant with credits on back of menu The warm olives were very good. They melted in my mouth and the bread was delicious. The steak was too chewy and spicy for me. The lettuces salad was also very good, crunchy lettuce and I liked the dressing. My favorite dessert was the chocolate malt ice cream, so unique and actually tastes malted! The cookies were good too and I’m glad we got both so can eat them together. Overall nice place, a little pricey but would come back again for a special occasion
A transcendent dinining experience full of unique flavor firsts and service of the highest level. Margo took us for a culinary ride suggesting the pork chop, the best ive ever had. A few more choice suggestions had us finishing with the malted chocolate ice cream. It’s clear why this place has stood the test of time. Fresh local ingredients and a staff that loves what they do. Thanks!
