Fantastic brunch!! The patio had a great vibe and all our meals were delicious! I had the belly bap which was fantastically tender pork belly and rice with egg on top. The chicken cup bap was phenomenal - the pieces of noodle and egg mixed into the rice made it superb. The portions are generous here! The ube matcha latte was good but the ube flavor was very weak and easily overpowered by the matcha. Absolutely you must go here!
Amazing food and good portions to boot! We sat outdoors and enjoyed the shade and the well kept area. The food is so flavorful - definitely my favorite meal of our whole California trip, not to mention of SF.
Second visit after many years. The place still looks the same. It is closed to Giradheli square. We made reservation a day earlier. This restaurant used to be very busy one. When we arrived we were the only party but the other tables filled up pretty quickly. Looks like this restaurant has relation with Sweet Maple in Palo Alto as they serve similar dishes like pimped up ramen and the millionaire bacon. We ordered couple dishes like banchan , bbq set tor 1 galbi, Korean Fried Chicken, dolsot bimbimbap snd pimped up ramen. All are yummy especially the fried chicken. The pimped up ramen is unique and bacon is yummy. Galbi and dolsot bimbimbap are yummy too but not that special. Usually banchan is free at most of Korean restaurant but you have to pay at this restaurant and I don't think it is re fillable. The service was great and our server was friendly. Overall it was nice dinner and catch up with our cousin from overseas.
Surisan is located right by Fisherman’s Wharf, with a great view and a cozy, stylish atmosphere that feels relaxed and inviting. The service was solid and professional — everything we needed was taken care of without being overly chatty or intrusive, which I personally appreciated. It made the whole experience feel comfortable and well-paced. The food was mostly very enjoyable, with one absolute standout: the Poke Salad. It was genuinely outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully layered. The sweetness from the mango added a perfect contrast, and the poke was served inside a giant crispy shrimp cracker “bowl,” which was both creative and delicious. This dish alone is worth coming back for. We also tried the stir-fried Shin ramen. The presentation was cute and playful, and flavor-wise it was exactly what you’d expect — a solid, comforting fried noodle dish. The raspberry lemonade was rich and refreshing, and the dessert (I unfortunately forgot the name) was nicely balanced and not overly sweet. One dish I would strongly recommend skipping is the Loco Moco. It was overcooked, and the patty was extremely tough and dry — easily the weakest dish of the night. Overall, Surisan is definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re already in the Fisherman’s Wharf area. It’s a chill, pleasant place with a great location and some genuinely excellent dishes — just be selective about what you order.
