The steak was great, the rest of the food was pretty okay. The pasta was watery, and the cheese was mid. The atmosphere is pretty great, they play old movies on the wall and the vibes are amazing.
Such a fun dinner date night location. The movie makes for an entertaining backdrop and as much as I thought I wouldn’t care about the movie I found myself looking over a fair bit. The courtyard is cozy and intimate with warm patio lights above. Even with the occasional breeze patio heaters keep things toasty. Service was alright. Our server definitely seemed busy and like maybe we weren’t a priority but the food and atmosphere made up for the small waits. For dinner we started with the baked goat cheese and ceviche. Both dishes were tasty in their own regard. The fresh veggies were a nice addition to the already rich goat cheese dish. The ceviche had a nice kick from the habanero in the dish. For our mains we got the persian spiced tuna and the madras curry sesame fried chicken. The fish was super savoury and the complimenting brand and peppers really complimented the dish. The chicken had the perfect fried chicken flake. So many flavours that came through nicely. To end our meal we shared the sundae. The fruit macedoine was nicely spiced and compliment the richness of the ice cream really nicely.
I loved how fresh the food felt! Each ingredient was refreshing to taste. The atmosphere is romantic and makes for wonderful conversations. Everyone was having such a good time which adds to the jolly ambience.
You must visit this fantastic establishment! We were fortunate enough to visit recently during SF Restaurant Week. All 3 of us opted to select from their special dining menu and absolutely impressed by the quality and presentation of all of our chosen options. We heard about how popular this restaurant is and booked an about a week ahead during low travel season. The atmosphere, service, selection and staff all exceeded our expectations. We booked an earlier reservation inside rather than the outside seating (which is under a cover) to take in the movie of the night. If you are planning a visit to SF, DO NOT miss this spot.
I liked the atmosphere, the service was sharp and professional. Great volume and ambience, and the wine list is solid. Razor Clam was delicious and Mozzarella Pepper dish was fantastic (especially with focaccia)! Fried Chicken was not my favorite but I know it’s a popular dish. Love the daily changing menu. Highly Recommend!
