It's really about the location when you want to be right by everything fun and want a good deal. I had no problems at all. I'd be happy to go back. Previously I've stayed in more upscale places in the San Francisco area and I regret all of them now. I'm in San Francisco having fun, not lounging in the hotel. I just need a clean, safe, and well located place to stay. Loved seeing so many other gays.
The positives were the affordable price, the convenient location, and the fact that they offer late check-in. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The strongest issue was the urine smell throughout the building, including in the hallways and even inside the room. The hotel also felt more like a long-term residential building than a typical hotel, with people constantly coming and going and several individuals who appeared to be living there permanently. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere. The room itself was also extremely small. While the price and location were good, the odor alone was enough to make us decide not to stay here again.
The only good things I can say is it is cheap and has a bed. Bathrooms and showers are separate rooms in the hallway. One bathroom is clogged and gross. So there’s really just one toilet for the whole floor. There is one old lock on the door. One shoulder push and this door is coming down. Pretty sure there is mold here, too.
Balling on a budget? this is the place for you! i love how it was in the middle of the district and the lobby super cute. this place is perfect for a one night trip to sf. i was aware of the shared bathroom spaces but it felt like college freshman dorms. the walls are pretty thin but if you really tire yourself all day and drink you’ll sleep like a baby! room is small but perfect for a solo or couples trip. i would definitely recommend bringing your own blankets and pillow to put over the bed i did see stain but still very comfortable
