The room was really spacious and great! The views are awesome especially at night. The service was fantastic, and the breakfast tasted pretty solid. The location is convenient and is in the Union Square area. However it is right near the Tenderloin so be careful when walking south of the hotel. Overall it is a good place to stay and is certainly a fantastic experience.
I stayed for several days for a nearby conference and loved the hotel. The hotel was beautiful and service amazing. I was upgraded to a suite room on the 13th floor and it was very lovely. Modern bathroom, living room area, bedroom, and closet space. Everything was very clean. I have also not had a more comfortable bed at a hotel in over a year. I slept wonderfully, the room was quiet and I was not disturbed. The breakfast was fast and delicious. The bar room iconic. I spent quite a bit of time in the lobby. All the staff are so kind, smiling and greeting me every time I entered. The location is perfect for me. I also felt very safe as a solo traveler. The hotel is also near many great restaurants and the union square area. It's also easy transit to multiple tourist attractions. I would definitely stay again the next time I'm here for business.
Stayed here for a few days and had two rooms adjacent to each other with an extra door, so that was incredibly convenient for a family of 5. Rooms are very clean and modern, but the housekeeping service was impeccable. Staff was super friendly. The breakfast cafe next door (Frederick’s) was delicious and attentive. The bar is popular and good scene although did not get to enjoy it. Would stay again.
I LOVE this hotel, as well as the staff. The rooms are wonderful and roomy beds are luxurious, and the hotel bar is a landmark, with original Klimt works that will blow your mind. Soak in the elegance of the Redwood Room over a cocktail or 2, and just let the ambiance and vibe soak in. Staff is friendly, cheerful, welcoming, and really go out of their way to make you stay special. Lifetime fan. Located only a couple of blocks from Union Square, with the Pinecrest Diner only a block away for a great old time, no frills SF breakfast available 24 hours.
