I almost feel like I shouldn’t write a review to give away the location of this place… for the ambiance, the service, the location, and the price this hotel can’t be beat. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, as is the history of the building. Beautiful sitting areas and lovely staff. Breakfast is kinda ho-hum, but a lot of places don’t even give you that! And for $30 in and out privilege parking, it really is a fantastic deal. The location is super duper convenient to J-Town and Chinatown, as well as anything else we needed. Very quiet at night, mornings are a little more bustling. My family will definitely be back.

The hotel is beautiful. There is so much to look at. The location of the hotel is nestled perfect into scenic views from your window. My husband and I really enjoyed sitting by the open windows and relaxing in our room. We enjoyed having tea and sherry everyday at 4PM and can’t forget they also had cookies to nibble on. It’s a quiet location, so sleeping with the city life is easy. The beds are on a softer side and I had a good sleep. The star of customer service was John, he was so accommodating and sweet and open to any conversation. I will definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed here for 5 days & loved it! First, the hotel is clean, with a good standard breakfast, modern bathrooms, and coffee and tea and ice water available all day in the lobby. The staff are REALLY considerate and professional. Housekeeping is great. There is limited parking right across the street. Second, the entire hotel is actually an 1800s converted girls' finishing school! It's all gorgeous wood trim and huge staircases, velvet drapes, Victorian wallpaper, and a mix of antique and reproduction furniture and decor. The first floor has working fireplaces and a bunch of sofas and fancy chairs where you can sit and enjoy the ambiance. It was so much fun after staying in boring, generic chain hotels so often. The only downside was that the mattress was a bit uneven. To be fair, I stayed at six different hotels on this trip and five of them had weird mattresses! The Queen Anne is a quick 5 minute walk to the Peace Plaza in Japantown, which includes lots of restaurants and shops. It's a safe and pretty 30 minute walk to Lower Haight. We even walked to Lone Mountain at the University of San Francisco, and the Asian Art Museum, though those took about 45 minutes each during peak hours.

Some Karen reviewed this place and complained about some chipped paint and dust on the baseboards. We were slightly concerned seeing her review but as soon as we checked on all of those concerns were gone. The staff are wonderful, helpful, and friendly. The lobby and common spaces are beautiful. Both the furnishings and the ambiance are incredible. The room was unique and comfortable. If you search for imperfections like Karen you will find them, but that's what holiday inns are for. The hotel has a fantastic location, an amazing vibe, the property is clean, and they have coffee and whiskey available in the lobby. They offer parking adjacent to the hotel, and for the price you wont be disappointed. If you enjoy a unique experience in a beautiful and inviting space and you cant go wrong. If you dont appreciate historic hotels join Karen at the motel 6.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. It's a perfect place for anyone who appreciates Victorian style and historic charm. The furniture and decor were beautifully preserved — vintage throughout, yet everything was in excellent condition. The room was spotless, the atmosphere was cozy and elegant, and the attention to detail made our stay especially enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique, charming, and memorable place to stay. We would be happy to return in the future.
