Below Bay Area average dim sum. The items we tried are good and service is also good but 1 they don’t have a lot of the common dim sums that we wanted and 2 super expensive (>50 per person pre tip and we are not even full…) Also difficult to find parking

Highly recommend for the food, and any private event! We hosted our post-wedding dim sum brunch on Yank Sing Stevenson's patio for ~45 guests. The patio is technically outdoors, but is sheltered/covered and heated. This place came recommended by relatives — even my parents, who hadn't been to SF in years, remembered eating here decades ago, so we knew it had to be good. We even came for a delicious meal in December, and decided on the spot this was the space for us. Booking (6 months out) was smooth and responsive over email. Day-of, Lina took incredible care of us. She checked in constantly, anticipated what we needed, and even remembered we'd already paid our deposit — something we absolutely would have forgotten in the chaos of wedding weekend. Our patio happened to overlap with Pride parade crowds, but it was barely noticeable. Cart service dim sum is such a rare treat these days — it made the whole meal feel like an event, not just a meal.

Too expensive for the taste / flavor. Most of the dishes I tried tasted under seasoned. The only thing that was good was their chili pepper sauce. No cheung fun (rice noodle roll) at this location. Lotus Wrapped Sticky Rice: Felt too wet and lacked flavor. The rice wasn’t sticking to the leaf Shrimp Har Gow: Nice and plump, but not juicy and moist. Lacks flavor Siu Mai: nice and firm, but lacked seasoning Egg Tart: Mediocre egg custard. Has a flaky crust

Yank sing has authentic and tasty dim sum while also being clean with a nice ambience. The pork spare ribs and har gow were good. I love the chilli oil which is mildly sweet, not spicy and has a lot of soybeans. The fried curried shrimp wontons were light and crispy and not too oily. The xiao long bao was a little different from the ones at other places. The broth had some additional aromats but I couldn't say which. Service is efficient and a little brusque for the fine dining prices. The food is good but for what you get prices are steep. Dumpling home/story is still my go-to.
