Hongkong Claypot Restaurant @960 Grant Ave, San Francisco, CA 94108 The entrance is up a small staircase. The men's restroom is on the left, while the restaurant entrance is on the right, where the women's restroom is also located. We were seated immediately upon arrival and served a free hot tea. We ordered the fried wontons, orange chicken, pork BBQ fried rice, and the seafood claypot with mushrooms and tofu. The fried wontons were not too salty—just right for my taste. The orange chicken, pork BBQ fried rice, and seafood claypot were all incredible, flavorful, and also not overly salty. Everything was well-seasoned and delicious. The service was very fast, and the prices were reasonable. There was only one server, but she was incredibly efficient and managed everything on her own without any delays. The clientele was a mix of locals and tourists, as well as both younger and older diners, which created a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant has about 12 tables. There are five or six round tables that can comfortably seat seven or more people, while the remaining square tables are suitable for groups of two to four. My partner said she would definitely come back, and I would recommend this restaurant as well.

When we ventured to Chinatown, decided to stop here for dinner. We were really surprised with quality of food. Chicken tofu clay pot and beef and broccoli was amazing. Staff was great and service was really quick. We ended up eating too much food.

Amazing hole in the wall. Smaller portions at cheaper prices so you can try more stuff. Hard to find - go upstairs to second floor, door on the right. Plenty of indoor seating. Chicken clay pot, green beans, west lake beef soup were delicious! Perfect for two, we finished the whole thing.

Walked in with my wife off the street on Mother’s Day Sunday and she wanted sweet and sour chicken I wanted a beef dish . No problems getting a window seat for 2. 75% full, great welcoming service and staff throughout our visit. We chose banquet B which met both our tastes and swapped out wonton soup with chicken and sweet corn soup. Very tasty and filling at reasonable price. Couldn’t finish everything. Will definitely recommend.

Got the two person deluxe special and it was amazing. Everything they brought out was better than the last. I keep thinking about the sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, and Mongolian beef. Will definitely go again next time we’re in town.
