At a glance
Gno & Co is located at 1355 Market St, San Francisco, and offers a unique culinary experience dedicated to the art of gnocchi. The fast-casual kitchen is the brainchild of chef Josh Berkowitz, who turned his diverse background in design and early childhood education into a passion for cooking. Gnocchi, small handmade pasta dumplings with a distinctive texture, serve as the centerpiece of the menu. The preparation of these dumplings is guided by principles of time, texture, and technique, resulting in bites that are both chewy and crisp.
Embracing the Italian tradition of using available ingredients creatively, Gno & Co experiments with a diverse array of elements such as purple yam, cauliflower, and butternut squash. This innovation extends to their sauces too, which vary from classic pomodoro to other options like vegan pesto and seasonal selections influenced by international flavors. Many menu items are vegan and gluten-free, making it suitable for diverse dietary preferences.
The ambiance at Gno & Co is both practical and personal, aimed at delivering deeply satisfying meals that express individuality. Its setting makes it an ideal spot for those who enjoy experimenting with flavors while maintaining a relaxed and welcoming dining atmosphere.

We had an excellent pesto gnocchi, very filling and delicious. Would definitely recommend to try this out!
I am a big fan of gnocchi and this is delicious. I’ve tried a few options on the menu and the classic gnocchi with pomodoro sauce, chili and spinach is currently my favorite. This may change because the gnocchi and sauces are all yummy, and I keep playing with the different options and additions. Some additions are free like spinach, arugula or parmesan cheese. I love that all are upon request as my daughter hates cheese, and my family has been able to join me for a couple of fun evening events at The Market.
I'm a gnocchi guy so a bit, nay very particular. The texture was nailed as well as the flavor but the additions of the greens, chili, and seeds, made this an altogether different and welcome experience. My only issue, which is mine and not theirs, is that I'd planned to share with my wife but it was so good I finished the whole thing. I hope she doesn't see this but I'll bring her here soon.
This was an unexpected, but delicious find at the Market food court. I had the pesto gnocchi and it was delicious. The addition of arugula made my day!! The server was kind and helpful! Highly recommend.
Amazing hand made gnocchi with an amazing chef behind the curtains. I had the bolognas sauce and was BLOWN AWAY at how tasty and filling it was. Plus some excellent conversation with Josh while eating. Will be coming by more often for sure
