The room had all the basic amenities. TV, WiFi, mini-fridge. But, there were cockroaches everywhere! The sheets and bedding were so disgusting, I ended up sleeping on top of the comforter in my clothes. The surrounding area was a large homeless population. Quite sad to see.
I booked one night at the Riviera Hotel and had a very bad experience. The room had a strong dirty smell and did not feel clean. The worst part was that the room was shared with three other people, which was not what I expected. The conditions were uncomfortable and disappointing. I would not recommend this place.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A Refreshingly Great Stay! I had a really excellent experience at the Riviera Hotel. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. You can feel that they care about their guests, which makes a huge difference. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a smooth, easy stay. Inside the hotel, it feels safe, calm, and well-kept — a nice little haven once you’re in. The building itself has a classic charm that’s hard to find these days. While the surrounding neighborhood can be busy and unpredictable at times (as is common in this part of San Francisco), the hotel stands out as a reliable, comfortable place to relax. If you’re looking for a solid, affordable stay with great service and kind people running it, the Riviera is a fantastic pick. I’d definitely stay here again!
