Plant-based veg and vegan lovers prepare for a real treat. New restaurant opens 1655 Market St., VegOLicious all organic, all plant base, diverse styles of cooking and mesl offerings. Meet Owner/restauranteur-Jaidev Sharma, head chef Puja Sharma, and innovative manager Mike Singh who have put a real 5 star food experience together and just opened the doors for outstanding and unique 100% organic local produced breakfast, lunch and dinners you will want to experience to believe. As Cali-Indian-based culinary experience that truly satisfies taste and budget. I ordered their unique Samosa appetizer (prepared with 20 delicious herbs and spices and special dipping sauces which coupled nicely with their ‘out or this world’ Home noodle and vegetable soup. The subtle use of tamarind and dates mingled with unique chilis, mints and herbs was delightful. I also tried their very refreshingly unique citrus smoothie. Of course it was dairy free and so rejuvenating given the days heat. I also enjoy their very refreshingly breakfast and desert options which are so welcome in a time when Veg foods are starting to seem a bit mundane. Wonderful people and a wonderful addition for the Market St/Gough/Hayes Valley folks who appreciate organic and local products and produce. I suggest you have a glass of organic wine and chat with Mike about the current plans for this promising enterprise and give a big welcome to Jaidev and his wife Puja. They are really putting the “Licious” back in plant based dining.
