The pizzaiolo greeted me when I walked in. And it was actually perfect because I could talk to him about the kind of Neapolitan pizza I wanted (ruota di carro). His name was Tommaso. The pizza came out perfect and I was treated with exceptional care. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving a Neapolitan pizza!
The food was delicious! Especially the spicy rigatoni. Tiramisu was packed with coffee and arancini was crispy outside and gooey inside. Service staff was quick and swift and polite.
Lovely waiter, he was super nice and answered all of our questions politely. He was actually the main reason we detoured to their restaurant instead of going to the one where we went to previously. They do handmake their pasta everyday, and when we asked, he allowed our golden retriever both inside and outside! We eventually ate at the outside patio since we didn't want to disturb other customers. When we did though, he asked if we wanted to turn on the heater; we had to deny them because the cool breeze felt awesome! I got a lasagna, and it just melted in my mouth so I overate little, but it was so good that I finished the whole plate! The whole vibe was also nice, with the music present but it wasn't overwhelming so me and my mom could talk comfortably. The restaurant was also clean and tidy, so it was easy to relax as well. All in all, one of my favorites in SF! Good enough to make me post my first review, at the very least ☺️
Great vibe, great pizza, and really nice cocktails - those were the highlights. The rest didn’t quite land: the pasta was bland, our dishes came out at different times so one person waited while the others ate, and the service was slow enough that empty glasses piled up on the counter (someone even broke a few). Fantastic pizza but everything else felt a level or two below.
Finally some delicous neapolitan pizza! 🍕The Diavola was phenomenal. The cacio e pepe was OK. Small portion & Not as good as Rome, but not bad. Great service and ambience. We will visit again on our next visit.
