Marriott Vacation Club, San Francisco
San Francisco
Beoordelingen
Given this Marriott Vacation location is not a resort like most other locations, we didn't have expectations any higher than what we would expect at a normal Marriott. However, the site is in an extremely convenient location if you're visiting the sites of San francisco! It's a bonus that it was just two blocks from the car rental locations. We were walking distance to many popular sites and public transportation, including the famous cable car! The employees were extremely nice in taking time to talk to us about their recommendations and just helping us out with any questions we had in general. Although everyone was great, we specifically remember Deb and Patricia going above and beyond. Our room was very spacious and comfortable! I love that they had a list of courtesy items that you may need in case you forgot anything.... for us it was the wine bottle opener! Thank you for a great stay. Hopefully we will be back soon!
Great location! Walking distance to so many tourist things including fisherman’s wharf and pier 39. Also close to the cable car turn around so getting on a cable car and getting around the city is a breeze! They have nice flavored water and activities every day.
We chose this destination for our minimoon. We were happily welcomed upon our arrival. Our belongings were handled with care. The staff was respectful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The rooms were clean and spacious. The area surrounding the hotel was safe. We recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to be a short walk away from the Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39.
Rooms are very noisy, especially if your room is adjoining with another. You can hear everything from your neighbors, every whisper and cough, through the shared door. It would be great if they would space us out since there weren’t that many guests. Surfaces are clean, but rooms are not ventilated. They seal all the windows shut so there’s no fresh air and the room smells a little weird. Like old carpet, mildew, and cheap fragrance. Not sure what’s up with this moldy-looking mirror though? It looks moldy but it might be some abstract design decision? Floors only go up to 3. Great, walkable location! Their complimentary gifts were poorly timed, texted me about a welcome gift way after my check-in, then emailed me about a checkout gift after I had already checked out. Not a good experience. This hotel is fine but not a 4*. I would bring slippers.
This has got to have been the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve stayed at a lot. The front was very friendly, but the noise was unbearable. The walls are paper thin. You can hear full ocnverstions of your neighbors. A family above us we could also here very well. They woke us up laughing and giggling and talking at 10:30 pm (we are in east coast time so we were in bed). Then the amount of drunk loud people in the hallway at all hours of the night. It would be nice if the front desk would control this as these people came in as they were very very boisterous and I would guess they were the same when they came into the hotel. My ten year old son and I were woken up 3 times our first night and then two the second night here. Well int 1-3 in the morning. The location is nice but it’s not worth the lack of sleep. I would gladly have stayed further away for good sleep. The fact that they had ear plugs in the room upon arrival…I thought it was for the San Fran noise (which funny enough did not wake us up) but rather likely for how horrible this hotel carries noise
