Amazing show with many different acts full of such talented people. I loved the camaraderie amongst the performers and this is a great 90 minute show. So skip the movie and do dinner and a show instead.
These people are so talented! What a great show! Would recommend and absolutely go back! We sat on the stage and our seats were amazing. I would love to see it again from every angle.
What I enjoyed most about the show were the acrobatics. I also liked how it incorporates excerpts from poems by local writers, giving the audience a glimpse into San Francisco’s culture and the ideas of some of its most influential thinkers from the early to mid-20th century. The show begins by referencing the great 1906 earthquake and then moves chronologically through the city’s history, touching on milestones such as the LGBTQ+ rights movement, even featuring trans acrobats as part of the cast. By the end, I felt the production was deeply rooted in San Francisco and created by and for its community. At first, that local focus might make it seem less accessible to visitors, but it actually adds authenticity and charm. I really liked the concept of blending world-class acrobatics with the city’s history, poetry, and culture. It’s a very unique experience, and I definitely recommend it.
A must-see for visitors or SF residents! I brought my niece who was visiting for her Spring break and we had ample time to write our love notes to San Francisco; hers about her first visit to a big city that she wants to get to know and mine about how I came here 20 years ago with no intention to stay - both were read on stage by the performers, creating a special memory for us together. Amazing show every step of the way, from the nice woman at the front door, our super cool waiter, and all of the amazing performers. Surprises with every act and how did they squeeze so much action out of that one stage?!?!
Wow!!! This is a truly amazing and spectacular show, in a gorgeous historic ⁰theatre, with an incredibly talented cast! The performers' astonishing physical strength and endurance coupled with their impeccable timing and skills was absolutely awe inspiring! We loved the interestingly choreographed and often suspenseful acts, some of which tugged at our heartstrings. I'm taken aback by the less than 5 star reviews, as I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with this production. This is live theatre involving tremendously skilled acrobatic & aerial artists, flow artists (hooping & juggling), musicians, vocalists, and poetry reciters. Yet some have left critical reviews because they were dissatisfied with their cup of coffee, their seats, the City imposed service charge... and apparently felt that leaving a terrible review would be the best way to have aired their concerns rather than speaking with a staff member for assistance. Focusing on one small aspect of an entire experience ought not to shape one's opinion of the experience as a whole. I challenge anyone to find a better show, in a more charming and intimate venue with nearly limitless options for food and beverages in-house and nearby! There is so much to praise in Hello San Francisco that I plan to become a repeat guest - bringing more family & friends to this magnificent production. Thank you, cast and crew, for a very lovely and memorable afternoon in (and about) the world famous city of San Francisco! Again, wow!!!
