Enjoyed a wonderful three day/two night stay. Able to leave car w/valet immediately in the morning to begin seeing the sights of the city. $90/day parking is well worth it considering prices we saw around the city ($50 near Oracle Park!). Great restaurants nearby as well as all modes of transportation. Staff friendly. Lounge has a nice breakfast buffet.
INA was our server during our first visit to the Marriott Marquis, and she made the entire experience truly special. From the moment we met her, she made everything feel so personalized and welcoming. She was warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like we had known her forever—she honestly felt like our new best friend! Her service was impeccable, and her hospitality made our visit unforgettable. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in making guests feel comfortable and valued. We will absolutely be back, and one of the reasons will be to see INA again! Thank you for making our first visit so amazing. You are truly wonderful, and we can’t wait to see you again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall, our stay at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina was average. The location is excellent and the pool is great, but the hotel is mid. Our stay got off to a frustrating start when we weren’t given the room type we had booked and paid for. I had to go back to the front desk to have it corrected, and I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff just by asking for the room we’d reserved. Cleanliness was also disappointing. Dirty napkins and other garbage sat in the hallways and common areas for days. The biggest issue, though, was the elevators. We regularly waited 5–10minutes, and they stopped on what felt like every floor. If you stay here, request a lower floor—you’ll save yourself a lot of time. This is definitely a conference hotel, so expect large crowds during the morning rush, dinner, and evenings. Midday, when conferences were in session, it was much quieter. The food was average, the rooms were basic, and the service was nothing special. The location is the biggest reason to stay here, but for the price, I expected a better overall experience.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Rey had a lot to do with this. He is the absolute best! His customer service was top notch and very thorough. The staff working the lounge and housekeeping were also great. My room was very clean and very comfortable. The location is near the Bart and walkable to most near by attractions. I highly recommend staying here.
My family and I were on a road trip and stopped in San Francisco. We were only going to stay one night, but once we got here, we stayed two!! We loved this hotel and loved this area! It was so fun! Sabina took care of us at the front desk and she was the best! Absolutely loved her! So kind and professional! The whole staff was really great. Would definitely stay here again!!
