What a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team was incredibly professional, the cocktails and drinks were creative, balanced, and absolutely delicious, and watching them work behind the bar was a show in itself. As someone who usually keeps my expectations for bar food… appropriately low, this place completely surprised me. Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully executed, and served at just the right temperature. It’s clear they obsess over the little details. Come for the drinks. Stay for the food. You’ll probably end up talking about both. Highly recommend.
We've visited Bar Crenn's flagship restaurant before and had an amazing time there - so we had high expectations for it's accompanying dedicated bar next door. While the atmosphere inside was similarly great, I have real issues with the drinks we received (and the chairs honestly.) First off, the chairs in the main bar area have wheels on them. That's fine, but either there's no rugs or they're freshly oiled wheels because it was almost impossible for our chairs to not be constantly moving. A minor complaint, but a real one. The much more major issue is that across multiple drinks our party tried, everything range from only okay to just unappealing/weak. It doesn't help that the drinks were served in very thin, beautiful glasses that are functionally unusable in a casual lounge environment where your seat is moving out from under you. A final issue I had was with the beer pour experience - look at my picture and tell me that's an appropriate pour of any beer, much less an expensive beer (Russian River specialty bottle.) Service was only okay throughout as well. Won't be back most likely. (Oh also the bathroom didn't have soap available - just an FYI to management to keep an eye on that.)
I love this place. My friend and I came here to celebrate both of our birthdays the other night and we just had the most wonderful time. The ambiance was beautiful and the drinks were perfect. I love the stemware and the records along the wall. But certainly, the best part was Florian, who was one of the team members and just went out of his way to ensure we had a really nice time. He was so gracious and such a wonderful host. We will definitely be back. The full staff is fantastic but Florian really sets the bar so high.
I adore a comfortable bar seat, and Bar Crenn has created a cozy space to engage with the staff and fellow diners. One of the best tasting menus I've enjoyed. Lucky enough to be seated with an amazing group who were just as awed by the experience. Dishes and wine pairings were phenomenal, and the sommelier was a perfect guide to the evening.
Absolute Gem of a Bar; The host graciously accommodated us arriving early without hesitation, making us feel instantly welcome. Inside felt like entering a cozy Japanese sanctuary dedicated to music lovers. The atmosphere is intimately inspired by classic vinyl listening rooms, warm lighting, shelves lined with records. The staffs drink recommendations for my partner were spot on, Daniel took the time to understand her tastes and suggested a creative cocktail that she loved. My drink (mezcal Negroni) and her’s were well balanced and flavorful. Great service, sophisticated yet relaxed, incredible ambiance and thoughtful drinks = 5 stars.
