The Green Heron has quickly become my fiancé's and my favorite local spot in Haight-Ashbury! We already knew we liked the bar, but after they hosted our engagement party, we love it even more! After I sent a somewhat random inquiry, Ben reached out and offered us the space at no rental cost, provided we kept the bar open to the public and set a minimum of two drinks per guest. Coordinating everything with him was easy and relaxed. The bartenders working that afternoon—Conner, Turk, and Dave—were all great. They kept us updated on our running tab and closed it out when we hit our limit. They also cut our cake for us, helped hand out slices, and cleaned up the upstairs afterward. They truly went above and beyond! Highly recommend The Green Heron for both casual drinks and special events!
I came here last week and the vibe and atmosphere were amazing! Their wine and drink selection is great, I’m a wine snob and was pleasantly surprised by their menu. Highly recommend for a date night or a place to hang out with friends. Will be back!
Great new bar on Haight. Good selections and the bartenders are great. The location and view of Haight doesn't get much better. I don't think they serve food.....it is a bar.
The bartender, she was super sweet and loved her service! It’s open until pretty late. No wait time for table.
Great place to stop by for a drink after shopping on haight. A much needed revamp of Hobson’s Choice. It still feels cozy like the old bar with some updates. You can bring in your own food.
