From the time we checked in everyone was very nice and accommodating. We were a bit early and Sarah was able to get us a room. The staff that cleaned the rooms on floor 28 were exceptional, very clean and kept us with fresh towels. The kitchen and wait staff at Cable 55 were very friendly and nice to talk with. Overall had a great experience at the hotel. The BART from the airport arrives right near the base of the hotel.
Honestly, I had a good experience at this hotel. It is an older property, more than 45 years old, so you should expect the rooms to feel dated rather than modern. That being said, everything was kept clean and in good condition, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One of the things I liked most was the gym. It is spacious, well equipped, and more than adequate for anyone who wants to stay active while traveling. The only thing I did not like was the café. They offer a breakfast buffet for $40, which I thought was extremely overpriced for the limited selection and quality of the food. There were scrambled eggs that tasted processed, some fruit, and a few very basic options. For that price, I expected much more variety, better quality, and a nicer presentation. Overall, this is a good option if you find a reasonable rate and understand that it is an older hotel. The cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent gym help make up for the dated rooms.
Not actually equipped for families of 5. Badly dated rooms. We booked this hotel specifically because it's a Hilton property and one of the few in the area advertised as accommodating a family of 5. Unfortunately, it fell short in a big way. The room's "sleep sofa" was in rough shape — clearly ancient, with mattress springs that had completely bottomed out. To make matters worse, there were no sheets provided for it, so we had to track some down ourselves just to make it usable. On top of that, housekeeping left us fewer towels than there were people in the room, which shouldn't happen at a property marketed for families of 5. Beyond that, the room itself felt like it hadn't been updated in years. The furniture, carpet, and overall decor were worn and outdated, giving the whole space a tired, run-down feel that didn't match what we've come to expect from a Hilton brand. It was clear that maintenance and renovations had been put off for a long time. If you're traveling with a larger family expecting a comfortable extra sleeping space in a well-kept, well-stocked room, be aware that the reality doesn't match the listing. Disappointing experience for a Hilton property, and not what we expected given the brand.
Our stay at this full-service hotel in the heart of San Francisco was exceptional from start to finish. The property offers outstanding amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center and convenient access to some of the finest restaurants within walking distance. What truly stood out was the level of professionalism and hospitality provided by the staff. A senior member of the front desk team If I recall she worked there for more than 10 yrs was especially helpful and courteous in assisting us with resolving our restaurant charges, making the process smooth and stress-free. We were also highly impressed by the hotel’s security measures, which were among the best we have experienced at any hotel. The atmosphere throughout the property was quiet, safe, and comfortable, making it an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, this hotel delivers an outstanding guest experience, combining comfort, security, excellent service, and a prime location in the heart of the city.
