Alcatraz Island Tour: Step back in time and experience the legendary Alcatraz Island that has been a Civil War fort, a military prison, and one of the most notorious federal penitentiaries in US History. The tour includes a ferry ride to the island and a 45-minute audio ' Doing Time'. Once you take the ferry over to Alcatraz Island, you will make your way up to the main prison building, where you receive an audio headset. The Alcatraz cell house audio tour features actual correctional officers and prisoners such as Al Capone and George 'Machine Gun' Kelly. who lived and worked on Alcatraz Island. Once the audio tour is over, you can continue taking pictures and exploring the Island, or walk back down to the ferry landing and hop on the next ferry headed back to San Francisco. The Alcatraz tour typically takes 2-3 hours to enjoy. Bike Rental: Decide where you want to ride and then head out from Union Square or Fisherman's Wharf to explore the sights of San Francisco on a bicycle. Talk with our knowledgeable staff; they will show you a great route with the flattest terrain, including all the best sightseeing stops. The most popular bike ride is across the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito. You can return to San Francisco by ferry for an additional charge with the bike. You can keep the rental bike for the whole day. The bike rental can be done on the same day as Alcatraz or on a different day.
