We’ve visited the Buena Vista three times, and it remains consistently excellent. The Irish coffee is every bit as good as its reputation—rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and served with the kind of care that makes it feel like an experience rather than just a drink. The atmosphere is classic San Francisco: lively, welcoming, and full of character. Even with its fame and steady crowds, the service has been friendly and efficient each time we’ve visited. A must-stop for visitors and a place worth returning to for locals.
This is the best spot for an Irish Coffee! The atmosphere is fun, lively and the staff is very friendly. If you only want a drink go straight to the bar for a seat. If you want food, you’ll need to be seated at a table.
We ordered the irish coffee, lava cake and fries. They are fantastic together. The bitter, boozy coffee helps balance out the rich, sugary sweetness of the cake so you don't get overwhelmed. Id love to have vanilla ice cream on my lava cake The irish coffee is priced at $16
Great location to hangout with friends and family. We stopped here at the end of the cable car run. Close to Fisherman’s Wharf. We only had drinks and a slice of carrot cake. This place is known for their coffee and alcohol drinks. We tried kahlua and coffee. It was really good. What makes this place great is the location and the service! Absolutely over the top.
We came here on St Patty's day around 930am. It was already quite busy but we were able to grab one of the last bar seats. We had to try the famous Irish coffee and it didn't disappoint. They were made right in front of us. We didn't try any food but it smelled good as well. The bar seemed to have a great atmosphere. Only downside is each Irish coffee was $16, which is on the high side.
