Pacific Heights Inn
San Francisco

Excellent location, and very friendly and helpful staff. The beds were in separate rooms which was great for our teenage daughter. Ideal if you have a rental car as they have free parking for guests.
You get what you pay for, which is a compliment. Tooms are simple and furnishings are a little dated and maybe a little beat up BUT the rooms are clean. No one services room unless you ask we had to ask for towels and garbage to be emptied. I wish they just came around every other day to manage that, but that is a small thing. The beds are comfortable the only other issue I had is that there is no ac to move air in rooms you can only crack a window. During summer rooms can get stuffy and it would be nice if the rooms at least had a ceiling fan to move air. The upside to tooms, is its central location and it has free parking. The parking is tight but it is free!!! Big bonus in San fran
Stayed here for one night. Booked 2 double beds, 1 room (4 people). Location was convenient to get to popular tourist destinations. Free parking was much appreciated, though it may fill up by the evening. Room on first floor didn’t get too warm despite a warm day. Our room had a fridge, and the beds were separated by a door which was nice! The bed in the room was a bit smaller though, possibly queen vs full in the room with a door. No hangers. but a few chairs and large table (at least in our room). Although it was generally quiet, you may hear other guests or neighbors in nearby buildings. While our room didn’t smell musty like others experienced, it’s obvious that there is not good ventilation in the room, and no fan in the bathroom. It’s best to keep windows open. Overall, with the price I paid and what this inn provided, I would be down to stay again for a short stay.
We stayed here for the second time and just might make this our go to anytime we stay in the city. The rooms are clean, the motel and area are clean and the location is great! Coffee shop next door and a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Mike, at the front desk was very cordial and accommodating and even let me leave my trucked parked after we checked out to go eat. He gave us multiple references for things to do nearby and was at the front desk for most of our stay. Like I mentioned this is going to be our home away from home in San Francisco from here on out.
I am visiting SF on a budget and was very wary of such a reasonably priced hotel room, but I can’t tell you have grateful and impressed I am of this hidden gem!! The rooms are older but they are VERY CLEAN. The sheets clean. The bathroom spotless. I went to go “mop” the floor right after I got our belongings unloaded from the car (with some sanitizer I use before I let my crawling baby on the floor) and the floor was SPOTLESS! I used one of the white towels to wipe the floors and they were still pretty much white even after I had walked on the ground. Now the biggest reason for my 5-stars is that the gentleman at the front desk is one of the best hosts I have experienced at a hotel. He was so gentle and welcoming even while I had some more needy requests due to traveling with my in-laws. So accommodating to their needs without me even really asking! We were placed downstairs under a very noisy upstairs room and the guests upstairs were partying. With two kids, after driving 10 hours, I was so nervous about complaining because I didn’t want any issues, and the front desk was so kind and shut down the noise immediately! I was sincerely so appreciative. I hope to get the name of the great person at the front desk before I leave - you are wonderful!
