Great location. Close to cafes, restaurants, the waterfront and tourist attractions. The hotel had a great, modern vibe. The staff were very helpful and eager to help out. We extended our stay and the staff were able to arrange things so we didn't have to change rooms. Comfy beds, nice shower and great ammenities. Signal coffee across the road has amazing coffee.
We stayed two nights at Hotel Caza and had a wonderful experience. Arriving at 12, we expected the room to be unavailable until check-in at 4, so we planned to leave our bags and grab lunch. To our surprise, they provided rooms immediately without being asked. This is a great hotel, especially for families, with excellent amenities—a lobby featuring pool tables, foosball, a bar area, and other games. My family enjoyed it. The rooms are also great, and the location is the best. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We will certainly return to this hotel whenever we visit SF.
This was our family's 4th consecutive annual stay at Hotel Caza, which makes writing this review especially disappointing because we've genuinely enjoyed staying here in the past. The location is fantastic, the hotel is clean, and we've always had pleasant experiences with the staff during our visits. Unfortunately, this stay left me feeling disappointed by both the pricing and the follow-up customer service. We booked directly through the hotel's website after seeing the advertised promotion for staying multiple nights. Our room rate was quoted at $193.59 per night, but our final bill for a two-night stay came to $700.49 after mandatory destination fees, parking, taxes, and taxes on those fees. While I understand that hotels charge taxes and optional services like parking, I was surprised by how much the mandatory fees increased the total. The website advertises "Stay 1–2 Nights, Save 10%", but once all of the required fees were added, the savings didn't feel meaningful. I left feeling that the advertised promotion didn't reflect what guests ultimately pay. Before leaving this review, I contacted the hotel directly because I wanted to give them an opportunity to address my concerns. Their initial response stated that it was the consumer's responsibility to read all of the charges and fine print before completing the reservation. They also misspelled my name in their response, which added to the feeling that my concerns weren't being given much attention. I replied respectfully with additional questions and explained that my concern wasn't the existence of the fees, but the lack of transparency regarding the final cost and how the promotion came across. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up or response to my email. I don't believe Hotel Caza acted improperly, but I do believe the pricing could be presented more transparently and that follow-up customer service could be improved, especially for returning guests. After four years of making Hotel Caza part of our family's annual San Francisco tradition, I never expected to leave a review like this. Unfortunately, after spending approximately $700 for a two-night stay,and not even being shown the respect of spelling my name/not responding back after 4 years coming it's difficult to justify coming back..
Our stay at Hotel Caza was wonderful! Aia (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly) went above and beyond to help us after we ran into a booking issue caused by a third-party reservation. Even though the mistake wasn’t the hotel’s fault, she took the time to make sure everything was resolved and that our accommodations were taken care of. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help truly made a stressful situation so much easier. The hotel is in an excellent location, making it easy to explore San Francisco. There are plenty of amenities, with lots of activities to keep the kids entertained, and the fitness center is fantastic—with an amazing view while you work out. Thank you to Aia and the entire Hotel Caza team for your outstanding hospitality and for helping make our trip so memorable. We would absolutely stay here again!
