This place is the best. Dog friendly and today there are 3 beers on cask. Can’t get cask beer anywhere in the city, so I love coming here. Also, killer metal and punk selection on the juke box and just a great old school vibe.
Beautiful classic taproom. Friendly bartender and engaging locals. Had few hours to kill before heading to the airport. Went in search of a proper dive beer hall with fresh Pliny. I would have loved to stay longer to visit and sample. It was mentioned they are being sold…I sure hope this place remains as it is! I hope to be back one day . ❤️
Do not come here if you only want to have A beer. There are too many to choose from, in so many different styles and flavor profiles. As a short term visitor, I’m really bummed we couldn’t explore more. That being said, we were super happy with a couple of California brews, the Moksa Conflation and the Firestone Walker Krieky Koelship (dark and pink in photos). If you like beer, come. Didn’t have the most forthcoming beertender but he could pour properly so whatever. $ only. ID mandatory. Didn’t try the bathroom so no bonus points/detractions. B+
CASH ONLY - Nice spot with good priced beers. The bar is pretty large, so great for any sized party. If you like IPA's, double, triple, you named it, this is the spot!
One of the best no-nonsense craft beer bars in the country. It's a cash only spot with an ATM inside. You absolutely need you ID to get in. Once you've decided off the board what you want, just wait, the beertenders have already clocked you and they'll be there with you in order. Don't wave them down. Know what you want to order. When it's not terribly busy, you can ask for recommendations based on your preferred style. Such an iconic spot to enjoy a pint!
