Stopped for a beer with my brother after walking the streets of San Francisco and absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place. Authentic, cozy, and full of character. The kind of spot that makes you slow down, relax, and enjoy the moment. Definitely a memorable experience.
Mad Dog in the Fog is an outstanding Irish bar and, without exaggeration, my favorite place to go. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, lively, and unmistakably authentic - the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable. The food is excellent, especially the wood-fired pizza, which is packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Everything on the menu feels well thought out and consistently satisfying. On top of that, there’s a great selection of beer and alcohol, making it easy to find something you’ll enjoy no matter your taste. What truly sets this place apart is the staff - always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see you. That combination of great food, quality drinks, and an incredible atmosphere makes Mad Dog in the Fog a place I keep coming back to. If you’re looking for a true Irish pub experience in San Francisco, this spot is a must.
Food was excellent. The vibe was excellent. We got the deep fried pickles and the chicken club. Both were amazing. The deep-fried pickles were like whole slices and wedges of pickles that were fried very yummy. We also ordered the chicken club, which had bacon on it avocado all kinds of good stuff very juicy cook chicken was cooked just right.
