Came from out of town and Local Edition had great reviews, so we had to check it out. Loved the old-school newspaper theme and dimly lit atmosphere. Good drinks, great vibe, and a fun spot in the Financial District. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in San Francisco!
Good live jazz. Citrus mocktail - tastes like old fashioned without alcohol, very flat and one note, too sweet, do not recommend
While my most recent visit wasn’t as memorable as previous visits Local Edition is still a fantastic place for craft cocktails and live music. I have been a few times and the wonderful times I have had before is what took me back in February on my last visit to the Bay Area. They offer live music in music and old school speak easy vibes. I will say the espresso martini was not as good as I remember from my previous visits as it was too sweet which of course could have been our fault since bartender heard us talking about how my friend liked his drinks sweet. All in all a great night out with friends or even a date spot when live music is on.
They advertised music performance , which was good, but the seat was so far and in an area that there was no way that you could see the stage. I wish we were informed about that before going when we made the reservation as we were there for the show.
Halloween evening 2025. There were plenty of seats when we arrived at 9:30pm then it was packed within 30-40 mins! Dimmed lighting, live band playing, excellent vibes for dates or to hang out. There are different types of typewriters on the walls, counters, and tables. Pricing range from $13-$20 per cocktail. The espresso martini was splendid 😘 highly recommend!
