The most important thing in a hotel is a good night’s sleep. Unfortunately, the bed and pillows were in very poor condition. The pillows were old, lumpy, and extremely uncomfortable, making it almost impossible to sleep. In addition, all of the doors appear to be old and make a very loud noise when closing, which creates constant disturbance. What was even more unacceptable was that at 11:40 PM I was awakened by a loud conversation between the front desk employee and a guest right outside my room. Guests stay at a hotel expecting peace and quiet, and this level of noise late at night is completely inappropriate. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel.

This was an okay stay. The room was very small with no AC, so you have to keep the window open, which makes it VERY loud. Also, because you need the airflow, you can’t really close the curtains which leads to very bright mornings. Luckily we’re morning people so it didn’t bother us. The bathroom was fairly new, but the shower took up a large majority of the room leaving very little space for the vanity or toilet. It seemed very clean, but I did see a few German roaches, so I’m not sure how I feel about that. The breakfast was odd, deli meat, bread, some pastries, yogurt, and drinks. The staff were very nice gave suggestions on the sights, but I was a bit disappointed that the gentleman who checked us in didn’t explain the parking charges, which were $50 a day for a lot that is almost 3 blocks away. One of those block are up an incredibly steep hill. I only found out about the charge when it was added to my card after my stay.

Great place, if you have access to it. Great views , and excellent service all in all. Amazing bartenders, delicious hors d'oeuvres, the catering team is top notch, the staff is the one of the best in fine dining. Everything is well maintain, clean and well run.

2.5 out 5 This review is for both the hotel and the event venue Hotel: Motel quality, hotel prices. The rooms are old, cramped, and super hot (in february, no less). Cannot imagine staying here in the summer. Charging an additional $45+tax/night for a rollaway bed is crazy. In the attached clubhouse, the sauna is nice, gym was okay albeit outdated and poorly organized, steam room didn't work They try to get by on "historic hotel charm" -- dont buy it Venue: Had a super hard time understanding the wedding officiant & couple because the sound was so poorly setup. The dinner salad was completely dry, not at all dressed. The entree & dessert were good, but extremely small portions and the kitchen was completely unwilling to provide additional portions

Stayed as a hotel guest and enjoyed the classic building and charming rooms. It’s like staying at a classic dorm at Notre Dame or Harvard—charming collegiate rooms, halls, and library. I can see why people would have wedding receptions here-it’s unique and classic. Yes, the rooms are old but that’s kind of the point and if you travel a lot like me, something different than a corporate hotel is nice. Note: I don’t think they have AC in the rooms so keep this in mind in the summer, and they don’t have an onsite restaurant.
