I had a wonderful stay at The Marker. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring San Francisco. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I especially loved being close to Union Square and having easy access to so many places around the city. I was traveling solo and felt comfortable during my stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to San Francisco!
Very nice, very clean accommodations. All staff, from front desk to housekeeper were professional and friendly. Great location near upscale shops, Chinatown and Union Square. Several very good restaurants within walking distance. A short walk to the BART train station on Powell street. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend the Marker Hotel.
The Marker was a great choice for our family of four. We booked a corner king with a sofa bed, and both beds were genuinely comfortable (which is saying something for a hotel sofa bed). The room felt surprisingly spacious for San Francisco and was a great value for the price. A quick heads-up: the room has a door separating the bedroom from the living area, but it doesn’t lock. Not a huge deal for us, but worth knowing if you’re expecting complete privacy. The location is also something to be aware of. The hotel sits right on the edge of the Tenderloin. Walk east and everything feels perfectly comfortable. Walk west toward Jones Street, and it’s remarkable how quickly the neighborhood changes. It’s almost like there’s an invisible line separating two different worlds. The highlight of our stay, though, was Charles at the front desk. He embodies everything great hospitality should be; professional, knowledgeable, genuinely friendly, and always happy to help. From check-in to checkout, he made us feel welcome and was a big reason we enjoyed our stay. The Marker is lucky to have him.
The hotel is safe, clean and beautifully decorated. The lobby and lounge area was very enjoyable. Our room was fine as well, just the walls let a lot of sound through. The surrounding area/neighborhoods did not feel so safe at night time, but the hotel itself was safe. It is close to public transport and about a 30 minute drive from the airport. There was a water refill station on the 5th floor which I highly appreciated. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed at the Marker hotel for my first trip to California/SF. I can honestly say the stay was hassle free. Room was a standard queen facing center building. Overall it was clean, my only notation would be some of the surfaces were dusty (headboard and vent in bathroom) but nothing that I would find disgusting. Bed was decent nothing to rave on but comfortable enough. Staff Overall friendly and the hallway was always quiet and uneventful. Would stay here again and recommend giving them a shot.
