Authentic fun at the edge of the world. An ongoing bubble of good timing humans drinking what-nots and listening to salty melodies. Steps away an ocean howls. Waves are the boss of you. Take muni.
First time at Riptide yesterday. It was the perfect beach vibe I was looking for. Beautiful decor and rad people. Live music was perfect to end my Sunday in the city on the beach. I will definitely go again. Thank you!
The Riptide is just a great little spot with excellent vibes, strong drinks, and a perfect setup for live music. I went on a rainy, cold Saturday night around 9 PM to catch the band Middle Dog. Despite the bad weather in San Francisco, the place was absolutely popping - the whole neighborhood seemed to be out, and the crowd made the atmosphere awesome. It was a great mix of regulars, first-timers like myself, and everyone in between! They are drinks-only, but they have a great range of beer and liquor options, and the bartenders definitely don't skimp on the pours. The service was very friendly and efficient, even when busy. Although it was crowded (it got a little hot at peak, but opening the door quickly solved that!), it never felt uncomfortably packed. A huge bonus: you can also bring food in from outside (check out Brother's Pizza right next door!). Parking was surprisingly easy to find on the street nearby.
