Fantastic hotel! A chique hotel in a fantastic location, one block from everything there is to do in Japantown. I found the room to be extremely clean and comfortable, which is a contrast to the older construction of a lot of SF buildings. The service was also fantastic. Finally, WiFi was surprisingly good, I was able to game and stream from my room. My one nitpick is the shower in the room's bathroom. It has one of those glass-panel designs where a fair amount of water inevitably leaks out onto the floor, unless you very cautiously avoid letting water flow behind you facing the showerhead. That one small detail aside, I am happy to return here, and will do so when prices match closely enough with my needs. There's another hotel a 10-minute walk down the road that I will stay at if there's a steep enough discount, but I really would prefer Enso as my top choice.

My husband and I come to SF at least once a year and have finally found the best place to stay! So far we have stayed at Kimpton twice, and we plan on making this our accommodation for next year. The location is right across from Japantown and also within easy walking distance of Filmore Street. There is a bus stop within a block of the hotel to easily get around the city without a car, which we prefer. Their staff is always so kind and helpful. The rooms are clean, cute, comfortable, and some have a comfy window seat to read from. I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else in SF, this place automatically helps me relax and unwind after a long day of walking around the city.

Staff at check in is not at all welcoming helpful or nice. Not even a hello. No explanation of anything other than pricey parking situation. Paid over $500 a night for a city view to get a low floor with no real view. I get that it is SF, but I expect customer service at that price point. I also recommend this place hire a better laundry service. Sacramento Laundry came before 4am and left after 5am. They did not event try to be quiet for paying guests and neighbors. Slamming carts into the truck so loud it sounded like concrete being dropped in a metal bin. Do not let this hotel place you on a low floor. Rooms are cute and clean, but we will not be back. There better spots in SF with excellent customer service.

This is my-go to hotel in the city, and I’ve stayed multiple times. It’s immaculately clean and the rooms are light and modern. Everything is in excellent condition, including the carpets. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The location — just two blocks from the safe, vibrant, and charming Fillmore Street, which offers countless shops and restaurants — makes the hotel the total package! I’ll continue to stay here every time I’m in SF.

I highly recommend this hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are the best! They offer a top notch complimentary morning coffee and tea bar. My sister-in-law and I stayed here recently as my brother was in the hospital near by, having had open heart surgery. It was an emotional and draining time for us, however I can't say enough about the friendly, helpful, personal attention, kindness, and consideration we received from the front desk reception staff - most specifically Edward (Ed) and Diana.
