I love Japantown in San Fran. I love the food around here and several blocks away are more very nice restaurants. Hotel Kabuki is situated perfectly to do everything on foot. The hotel itself has amazing employees who go out of their way to help wherever they can. This trip they were seriously called upon to help and they did with so much grace that they made a bad situation actually peaceful. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The shower is great after a long day. We always enjoy the lobby/bar area. It’s got a better vibe than most of the bars I’ve ever been in the world. I will continue to come back here again and again.
Stayed here recently. It's in Japantown, and is a good location to walk to several different neighborhoods. Great service from staff who found and mailed me my misplaced earbuds. Fantastic gym. Nice, clean, quiet rooms. Will absolutely stay there again.
Incredible Stay at Hotel Kabuki! My wife and I got married at City Hall and stayed at Hotel Kabuki. The service and check in / check out process was seamless and we had zero issues with the room. From start to finish they were super attentive. The bar staff was incredible. I do want to highlight the front desk - especially Kelly - she was super helpful with anything we needed. She went above above and beyond to make sure my wife and I had an amazing stay and even helped us with shipping some packages! Highly recommend this hotel not, not just for the rooms, but for the staff as well.
My partner and I booked a room here this past weekend for three nights. We were originally placed on the second floor, but after arriving, we weren’t satisfied with the room. It overlooked the center garden, allowing direct visibility into other rooms, and it was located right next to the elevator. We called the front desk and requested an upgrade for an additional fee, which we paid. We specifically asked for a room away from the elevator. However, when we arrived at our new room on the 16th floor, it turned out to be essentially the same room—just on a higher floor—and still near the elevator. It was disappointing that the front desk staff didn’t inform us that the only difference would be the floor level, and that our request to be away from the elevator wasn’t accommodated. The room itself was small but reasonably sized. However, I didn’t understand the design choice of having no doors on the bathroom. This setup might work in a larger home where the bathroom is separated from the sleeping area, but here the bed is right next to the bathroom, leaving little to no privacy when using the restroom or shower. Additionally, the bed was not mounted to the headboard. We had to push the mattress back towards the headboard numerous times as it kept sliding when we were lounging. The room had blackout curtains but the sheer curtain panels were missing. These details left us questioning what we paid for, especially in an upgraded room. I would not recommend this hotel. On a positive note, the common area was nice, and I especially enjoyed the photobooth. It was clear that many guests appreciated the shared spaces, as they were lively and offered plenty of seating.
