Reviews
My partner and I have stayed at hotel Julian multiple times and are always very pleased by our experience. JULIA always makes our visit so much better by accommodating our needs and being a lovely host overall. The location is great, you’re able to walk to multiple places to eat, bars, stores, etc. our favorite tradition is to get pizza from the place right door as a late night snack. Not to mention it was a filming location for Alfred Hitchcock’s film Vertigo. If you want a convenient place to stay with a friendly staff, this is your hotel !
The hotel is within walkable distance (about 15 min walk) to Union Square and the bus stations. The room is clean and modern with very comfortable plush beddings and pillows. The service is average with cleaning toward late afternoon if you want. The elevator was broken on the first day when we got there but we were ok to carry our own luggages to the 3rd floor since we have small luggages and physically fit. I think the hotel will help up carry the bags up if we ask. Their bar at the lobby looks relaxed and pretty and their water filtering machine looks new (crisp and cold) and convenient. This hotel is great for the price range in San Francisco and we will come back again.
Hotel Julian ended up being a great find. The rooms and lobby felt nicely updated, and the bed was comfortable. Bathrooms was a little tight, with some issues with shower door, but manageable. The pros vastly outweigh the minor hiccups. What really made the stay stand out was the service for a smaller hotel (at its price point). Reisha was incredibly welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived. Thank you! Convenient location - Lower Nob Hill does have some Tenderloin spillover issues, but still a good value, and easy walkability to nearby restaurants and bars. Would stay here again.
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 11 days and had a great experience. The service was excellent from everyone, especially Julia, who we interacted with the most. Reisha was also very kind and welcoming. The location is very convenient. The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t offer a traditional American breakfast. The gym is well equipped and great for staying active. We would definitely stay there again.
