My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Bohème. I was looking for something boutique, historic, and unique, not a stuffy high-rise or standard modern hotel and this was exactly the kind of San Francisco experience I was hoping for. The hotel is inspired by the late-1950s North Beach Beat Generation, and the whole place has such a cool, memorable vibe. The room was colorful, full of character, and felt like an experience in itself. The location was incredible, right in North Beach, close to Little Italy, Chinatown, City Lights Books, and so many great neighborhood spots. Every day, we could step out of the hotel and immediately feel like we were part of the city. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and there truly wasn’t anything we disliked about our stay. It is worth noting that there is no air conditioning, but we knew that before arriving, and the fan and open windows kept the room comfortable the entire time. If you want every modern hotel amenity, this may not be the place for you. But if you want a charming, historic, boutique-style stay in one of San Francisco’s best neighborhoods, Hotel Bohème is wonderful. We would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely boutique hotel in North Beach, full of historic charm and Beat Generation atmosphere. The rooms are tidy and well-kept, the location is fantastic, and the building has a wonderful character that you don't get from chain hotels. The staircase is famously creaky — it sounds like it might give way under you, but it's perfectly safe (and honestly part of the charm). One quick tip for future guests about the shower: the handle on the wall is only for turning the water on and adjusting the temperature — it does not control the water flow rate, which catches a lot of people off guard. To adjust the actual water pressure / flow from the showerhead, look at the showerhead itself — there's a small adjustment mechanism on top of it that lets you change the flow. Took me a few minutes to figure this out, so hopefully this saves the next guest some confusion! Overall, a charming, characterful place to stay. Recommended.

My daughter and I recently spent 4 nights in North Beach, and loved our stay at Hotel Boheme. It was exactly what we expected, but even more charming in person. You feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. It's a fantastic location for good food, drinks, coffee, baked goods, etc. Also, I accidentally left my wedding ring behind, and the hotel let me know immediately and it was priority mailed back to me within a few days. Hotel Boheme is my new go-to spot when I travel to the City.

I haven’t even been here yet and they’ve proven what a fabulous, service centered hotel they are. I made a reservation online, then called and they very patiently worked with me to determine which one of their unique rooms would be the best for me. Then I called back a few minutes later, because I figured I had reserved the wrong month. 🤪 Triple bonus points for Nick for being so wonderfully helpful. 🙌 My daughter lives near Coit Tower and recommended Hotel Boheme as the best place to stay in the neighborhood. 😊
